GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

  • The general purpose of a Builder “A” is to assemble special machinery ranging from simple units to multi-station systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow the JPS and Job Specific instructions from supervisor/project manager.
  • Inventory details for the assigned project.
  • Assembly of machinery, fixtures, die sets.
  • Reports and troubleshoots assembly issues.
  • Records all floor changes to the respective prints.
  • Job leadership, when assigned to large projects, responsible for handing out work and guiding other builders assigned to that project.
  • Apprentice guidance and training.
  • Tryout and de-bugging of machinery.
  • Responsible for turning in build folders with all information, purchased item literature, tooling component records, etc.
  • Ensures quality work.
  • Service and installation work (willingness and good customer relationship).
  • Keeps work area clean and safe.
  • Installation and service of equipment --- tear down and ship.
  • Performing other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Tool and Die Journeymen card.
  • Eight (8) years Tool and Die experience.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, hydraulics, pneumatics and wiring.
  • Good communication skills, leader skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues.
  • Knowledge of Trigonometry.
  • Good hand/eye coordination, ability to read blueprints and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to make logical decisions of issues during machine assembly.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand at least 90% of the day.
